Legal Bases
To the extent that the GDPR applies to KrisenCheck's local processing, processing is carried out to provide the app functions requested by the user on the basis of Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Where data is processed for technical security, traceability of local calculations, or app stability, Article 6(1)(f) GDPR also applies. The legitimate interest is locally controllable preparedness management.
Is Providing the Data Required?
Use of KrisenCheck is voluntary. The entered household and supply data is required for meaningful range and readiness calculations. Without these entries, KrisenCheck can only show empty or incomplete states.
Does Data Leave the Device?
KrisenCheck does not transmit household data, supply data, notes, or calculations to provider servers or third parties. The app is designed offline-first and works locally without cloud processing.
Storage and Deletion
Household and supply data is stored locally in the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local app data through the operating system. Planned export functions should only start after explicit user action.
Permissions
The current KrisenCheck MVP app does not require contacts, location, or internet permission for the described functions. If later features require system permissions, this privacy notice will be updated accordingly.
Third-Party SDKs
KrisenCheck does not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
Recipients and Third-Country Transfers
Household data, supply data, notes, and calculation results are not transmitted to recipients outside the device. No transfer to third countries or international organisations takes place.
Automated Decisions
KrisenCheck calculates ranges and readiness status locally based on data entered by the user. No further automated decision-making within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR and no profiling takes place.
User Rights
Subject to the GDPR, you have in particular the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. In North Rhine-Westphalia, the competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia.
